Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how MERCA Entertainment (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile applications: Mitosis, Chroma, and Rovonot (collectively, the “Apps”).

We have designed our Apps with privacy at the core. We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services, or any third-party trackers. This Privacy Policy explains the very limited circumstances under which any data is processed.

1. Who We Are

Note on commercial status: The Apps are currently offered free of charge, without advertising, in-app purchases, or any other form of monetization. MERCA Entertainment is operated by an individual and does not currently constitute commercial activity within the meaning of the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation 2022/2065). This Privacy Policy and our regulatory status will be revisited if and when we introduce paid features, advertising, or other commercial activity.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicit about what we are not doing:

• We do not collect personal data such as your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers.
• We do not use any advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or attribution platform (no Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Facebook SDK, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Amplitude, Mixpanel, OneSignal, Sentry, or similar).
• We do not create user accounts or profiles.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.

3. Information That Is Collected

3.1 By the App Stores (Apple and Google)

When you download or install an App, Apple App Store or Google Play receives technical information from your device (device model, OS version, country, language, etc.) and provides aggregated, anonymized installation reports to us through their respective developer consoles. We do not have access to your individual device identity through these reports.

3.2 Web Fonts (Chroma and Rovonot only)

The Apps Chroma and Rovonot load typography from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) when first launched with an active internet connection. As part of this connection, Google receives your device’s IP address. We do not pass any personal data to Google. We are working to bundle these fonts offline in a future update.

3.3 Support Communications

If you contact us at any of our support addresses, we will receive your email address and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

4. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we receive solely to:

• Respond to your support requests
• Diagnose and fix technical issues you report
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any commercial purpose.

5. Legal Basis (GDPR, EU/UK users)

We rely on the following legal bases under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation:

• Article 6(1)(b): Performance of a contract (providing the App you have installed)
• Article 6(1)(f): Legitimate interest (responding to support requests)
• Article 6(1)(c): Legal obligation (complying with applicable laws)

6. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent personal data. The only entities that may process data on our behalf are:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — domain hosting and Email Routing
• Apple Inc. and Google LLC — App distribution
• Google LLC (Google Fonts) — only for Chroma and Rovonot, as described in Section 3.2

7. Data Retention

Support emails are retained for two (2) years from the date of last interaction, after which they are deleted. We do not retain any other personal data.

8. International Transfers

If you are located in the EU/UK and contact us by email, your email may be processed by Cloudflare’s Email Routing servers globally. Cloudflare provides Standard Contractual Clauses in accordance with Article 46 GDPR.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Apps are rated for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@mercaentertainment.com and we will delete the information promptly.

10. Your Rights

EU / UK / EEA (GDPR)

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdraw consent, lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

Right to know, delete, opt out of sale/sharing (we do not sell or share), non-discrimination, correct inaccurate information.

Türkiye (KVKK)

Your rights under the Personal Data Protection Law are described in our Aydınlatma Metni. Substantively equivalent to GDPR rights above.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@mercaentertainment.com. We respond within thirty (30) days.

11. Security

We protect the limited information we hold with industry-standard administrative and technical safeguards, including TLS encryption and access controls. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, but we work continuously to maintain reasonable protection.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on https://mercaentertainment.com and reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
